Atlanta Ink pays homage to the late rapper from the hit supergroup Migos, “Takeoff,” with a 12ft tall tattoo done on silicone skin, setting a Guinness World Record for the “Largest Tattoo Artwork.”
As a tribute to the rapper, who was sadly lost to gun violence back in 2022, the team at Atlanta Ink dedicated themselves to creating this one-of-a-kind piece of now-historical art. The piece’s unofficial imperial measurements are a staggering 12ft in height and 7ft in width. It was created in the same manner as any other tattoo, using ink and needles, but instead of human skin, they used synthetic silicone rubber skin, which has the same look and feel as the real thing and holds ink just like natural skin. The piece is currently on display inside Atlanta Ink’s Grant Park studio for all to see. When asked about his intentions for the piece, owner Christian Verrette responded, “The Migos created a sound for an entire generation. Their creative genius shows in their art. I honestly have no intentions of doing anything with him. He’s our guardian, he watches over us, inspiring us to create greater with our art. To us, he is the Patron Saint of Creativity, or ‘Saint Take,’ if you will.”
